SongLoop
Practice any song, one section at a time. SongLoop finds the sections, key and tempo of your own audio files, then loops or slows down the part you pick. Everything happens on your iPhone.
How to get songs in
- Files: tap the add button in SongLoop and pick a file from the Files app (iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or another provider).
- AirDrop: send an audio file from your Mac or another iPhone and choose SongLoop to open it.
- Finder file sharing: connect your iPhone to a Mac, select it in Finder, open the Files tab, and drag audio files onto SongLoop.
- No song handy? Tap "Try the demo song" on the empty screen. The demo does not count toward the free limit.
What works and what doesn't
- Works: DRM-free audio files, such as your own recordings and music you bought and downloaded as plain files (MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF, and similar).
- Doesn't work: Apple Music songs, streaming music, and any other copy-protected (DRM) file. Apple does not let apps read that audio.
- No chords: SongLoop shows sections, key and tempo. It does not detect chords.
- Device: iPhone running iOS 27.
FAQ
- Why can't I add Apple Music songs? Songs from Apple Music and other streaming services are protected, so no third-party app can read the audio. Use a DRM-free file instead, for example a track you bought as a download or one you recorded yourself.
- Are sections always right? No. Analysis is automatic and works best on clear, well-structured recordings. You can rename sections and fix the key yourself. Dense or very free-form music may be split in unexpected places.
- Is there a subscription? No. You can try SongLoop with up to 3 songs for free. "SongLoop Unlimited" is a one-time purchase that removes the limit. There is no subscription and no ads. The price is shown in the app in your local currency.
- How do I restore my purchase? Open the Help screen in SongLoop and tap "Restore Purchase", signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
- How do I delete a song? Swipe it in the song list, or delete the app to remove all of its data.
